What Others Say
About Our Addiction Recovery Counselling
London . Greater
London. UK, International
Both Rebekah and I are
extremely grateful to the contributors of this page. Their
kind words mean more to us than we can say. There have been
countless more over the years both verbal and written, but we
felt a small selection would be best. We are eternally
gratefull to all our former and current patients and clients
who have taught us more about Addiction, and Addiction Recovery
than we could have have learned from a library full of
books. Our thoughts, best wishes and love go out to them
all.

Alistair Rhind has been
instrumental in helping me recover from the
most traumatic period in my life. My sessions
with him have been very special and sacred. His
approach is sensitive yet real; an intuition
and outlook on life that is refreshing and has
really helped me to face my many demons.
Alistair is one of those people in life that I
am glad to have met. I would highly recommend
Alistair to anyone.

After I had made a number of
unsuccessful attempts with other therapists to
control my alcoholism I was recommended to
Rebekah and Alistair. Their approach was
innovative and powerful and they new exactly
how to approach my particular problem and sort
it out. I have not had a drink now for over 5
years and my life has changed for the better in
many ways. I owe it to their unfailing support
and wisdom.

Alistair is not just a
fantastic therapist and an amazing human being
but a wonderful teacher or, as I prefer to
describe him, a Guru. When you meet someone
like Alistair, change is inevitable. You may
not know what form it will take or when it will
happen but it will. The hardest thing would be
to try to stop it.
I only have one regret in all my time that I’ve
known Alistair; not trusting him 100% from the
very beginning, but that was my story. Who
knows how different yours will be?

I have known Rebekah Rhind for 6 years and in
that time she has helped me enormously to
overcome my severe depression.
During that time my self esteem and confidence
have reached new heights.
Rebekah has understood my difficulties that I
have had to face, she has helped me move
forward to a happier, healthier new
life.
Without her there would have been no light at
the end of the tunnel.
I cannot thank Rebekah enough for giving me my
life back again.

I've known Alistair for almost 20
years.
I went into treatment (for chronic alcohol
& drug addiction) in Jan '86 and
lasted for three weeks until I was given a
"therapeutic discharge" ! I reached my rock
bottom in September of '86 and that was when I
started seeing Alistair. I saw him twice a week
for about two years.
I don't think it's any exagerration to say that
he was instrumental in saving my life, along
with AA. He helped me to see why I was how I
was, why I felt the way I did & why I felt
and acted the way I did. He helped me to gain
clarity in my life, for the first
time.
I've been clean & sober since Sept '86 and
my life has continued to improve in every way,
despite some very difficult & painful
episodes along the way.
I have no hesitation at all in recommending
Alistair as a counselor.

"Alistair is warmhearted, reassuring and
fantastically down-to-earth. He has a rare
gift for cutting straight through to the root
of your problem. I've seen many therapists and
counselors over the years, and he's one of
the best. I really can't recommend him
enough." Catherine S, (Globetrotter),

Sometimes we all need to be reminded that life
is a
journey, and that it can be as beautiful or
ugly as we
decide to make it for ourselves. Alistair
helped me
find a way forward when I had closed all of the
doors
in fear of my life experience. He is as open
and warm
a human being as you could hope to be in the
presence
of, and I thank him from the bottom of my heart
for
helping me to embrace the unknown and find the
present
moment again.

I have known Rebekah now for
2 years. She is
an exceptional psychotherapist and has
made a huge difference to my
life. I first
saw Rebekah when a friend recommended her
to me. I was
struggling with one particular issue in
my life.
Rebekah took me on an ‘unravelling’
journey which has completely changed the
way I feel about myself and
life. I now
enjoy life and am able to achieve
whatever I set my mind to – I value
myself now and believe I do deserve the
best in life. I can’t
say thank you enough to
Rebekah.
Rebekah’s style is both
gentle and strong. She
knows when to push and when to hold
back. Her
questioning and diagnostic skills are
excellent and she seems to understand so
much from so little
information.
She challenges, supports and
listens. Above
all she makes you feel very normal and
gives you hope when you feel really low –
she even manages to make you laugh when
you least expect to!
I would recommend Rebekah to
anyone for any problem whether big or
small – she really does make a
difference.
