When addiction arrives in a family whether it be addiction to Alcohol, to drugs, to work or to food; whatever the unhealthy dependence, it causes everyone to suffer in their own way.

The addiction generally develops slowly and it can go unnoticed for many years. Family and friends unwittingly adapt to the presence of this destructive force and in trying to cope with a long term chronic high stress situation, they all become people who are used to the pain of living with the addiction. That pain seems normal as they wait for a miracle to change everything; to take it all away. They all suffer from the pain of living with addiction and do not know whet else to do for the best.
